Management Statement on Safety

The FIT Aviation safety program is a living document designed to create a safe aviation environment for anyone associated with the operations of FIT Aviation. This is to include employees of all departments, students, and renters. The scope of the program includes but is not limited to:

• An overall formal accident prevention program.
• Senior management commitment to the company safety program
• Establishment of a safety management structure
• Appointment of a Flight Safety Officer reporting directly to the director
• Encouragement of a positive safety culture
• Hazard identification and risk management
• An on-going hazard reporting system
• An internal reporting system to allow employees and other personnel to report incidents and recognized hazards.
• Accident and Incident reporting and investigation
• Immunity-based reporting systems
• Safety audits and assessment of compliance
• Employee safety and accident prevention education and training.
• Safety training in the student syllabi
• An internal assessment program to monitor the effectiveness of the safety program.
• Emergency response planning
• Regular evaluation and fine tuning of the program.

These will be implemented in an effort to increase the safety of FIT Aviation operations and help further our growth in the aviation community.
